A ceremony was held at Kanoo Tower in the Diplomatic Area to announce the launch of the new website of the Yusuf bin Ahmed Kanoo Award, in the presence of Ms. Mona Mubarak Kanoo, Vice Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Yusuf Bin Ahmed Kanoo Award, members of the Board of Trustees of the Award and the Executive Office of the Award.
Mr. Khalid Mohamed Kanoo, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Yusuf Bin Ahmed Kanoo Award, mentioned that the Award is keen to update and develop the electronic channels that link the award with those interested in its various competitions, to facilitate their participation. Kanoo added that the Yusuf Bin Ahmed Kanoo Award is an incubator for researchers and innovators and is close to the hearts of the Kanoo family, reflecting their desire to support and encourage scientific research as well as artistic creativity, not only locally but also across Arab countries, which prompts it to continuously renew and improve to keep pace with all that is emerging in the scientific, technological and artistic fields.
The new website of the Yusuf Bin Ahmed Kanoo Award www.ybakanooaward.com has been designed to receive the largest number of entries in the award's three competitions, which are the Economic Research Competition, the University Students Research, and the Fine Arts Competition. The (customer journey) for browsers has also been improved by highlighting the competition registration buttons and installing them on the home page, as well as shortening the registration steps. In addition, an English version of the website has been designed for non-Arabic speaking browsers, and the website's appearance and content has been updated and improved.
It is worth noting that the Yusuf Bin Ahmed Kanoo Award, whose total prizes amount to $74,000, announced the competitions of the twelfth edition at a press conference in late October 2024 and encouraged researchers and artists to register for the competitions through the website.
